Marble Palace of Tehran

The Royal Palace is a royal palace built in 1316 under the orders of Reza Shah Pahlavi in ‚Äč‚ÄčTehran. The palace was originally the residence of Reza Shah Pahlavi and after him, Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, and became the Palace Museum in 1355.


By the year 1359 the palace was used as a museum. After a while, the museum was shut down and the palace was used as the headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Committee. After that, the palace was abandoned until the solar power in the middle of the 1370s, the Expediency Council passed to the palace.
